Senior Derivatives Analyst

An outstanding growth opportunity exists for a candidate with a finance background to join the growing Derivatives Middle Office.
The Senior Derivatives Analyst will be an integral member of the Derivative Valuations/Product Control Group that provides trade support including trade confirmation, allocation, validation, and valuation reconciliation.
The individual will work within a team environment to contribute to the Derivative Valuations/Product Control Group s initiatives and ongoing projects.

Key
Responsibilities:

  • Provide coverage for derivative trading desks for both International and Domestic
  • Perform daily confirmation, allocation, and reconciliation for the firm s derivatives executions, throughout trade life cycle.
  • Responsible for maintaining relationship between the derivative and associated hedged items for legal hedge effectiveness
  • Review trade valuations, to ensure consistency across MIM s financial platforms, as well as external counterparties
  • Set up, and maintenance, of derivative instruments within MIM s platforms and databases
  • Effective communication and collaboration with front office, risk, settlements, and technology, to ensure accuracy of positions, and readiness for market events, or new regulations
  • Conduct due diligence for research projects and investigations of a specialized nature as requested by senior management and external auditors
  • Responsible for providing assistance on the Collateral and Derivatives Settlement process if needed

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

  • 3-5 years of experience within derivatives operations
  • Bachelor s Degree in Finance or Business Administration
  • Strong derivatives product knowledge
  • Familiarity with Murex, Blackrock Aladdin, and Tri-Optima
  • Demonstrates the ability to work independently and as part of a team environment
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Risk-adverse mindsight in order to prioritize urgent action items
