This position is responsible for providing all financial support to the regional Marketing organizations for General Medicine for Region Latin America by driving overall financial awareness and accountability and ensuring organizational alignment with financial objectives. The incumbent is also responsible for Working Capital monitoring and Regional Headquarter controlling and analysis. The incumbent is furthermore responsible to develop and implement strategies to drive cost control, improve profitability and optimize working capital utilization.
The incumbent is an expert on all processes related to business and financial areas with a high level of interaction and complex information consolidation with several countries / businesses throughout the Latin America region. The position needs to drive brand profitability by ensuring allocation of assets to maximize return on investment. Identify business risks with recommended corrective actions and ensure performance against target is achieved. Partner with global teams to ensure alignment of Latin America goals with the alliance partners and serve as a key liaison in monitoring and updating financial forecasts. The position is also responsible to advise and collaborate with all levels of management regarding financial controlling issues and aligns the Global brands and Local regional requirements.
The incumbent will:
Provides financial analysis for the Regional Business Unit General Medicine for the entire Latin America Region. Provide ongoing financial council to heads of Marketing, insuring clear metrics are in place to measure and monitor product performance.
Validate and analyze the reporting and short-, mid- and long-term planning for the key brands and overall Strategic Business Entities.
Analyze profitable opportunities and target optimization across the General Medicine product portfolio, launches and streamlining.
Develop, monitor and measure high level management Key Performance Indicators which can drive sound financial decisions and demonstrate measurable return on investment.
Partner with Global Business Units (Global brand and launch teams) to analyze brand performance, communicate regional product and SBE strategies and business dynamics and align on the key messages to alliance partners.
Direct the development of the Regional Headquarter annual budget, forecast and long-range plans. Participate in Plan review and approval. Monitor and help manage Regional Headquarter cost center spending by conducting value analysis on expenditures to assist managers in cost management and maximizing value. Identify potential issues and alternative plans to maintain spending within budget and work with Business Area team and other functional controllers to implement corrective actions.
Partner with countries and global BPA to monitor regional Working Capital performance and achievement of targets. Identify areas of opportunity to optimize WoC.
Participate in special projects.
Work within the frame of Corporate Policies and procedures as directed by the Corporate Group.
The successful candidate is required to possess the following:
Bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting with 10
years of experience.
MBA/CPA preferred
Leadership and interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams, in particular with stake-holders and business partners
Profound understanding of global business objectives of all clients therapeutic areas
Must possess excellent communication and analytical skills
Must be able to develop and present insightful analysis and reports
Requires strong PC skills SAP, MS Excel, MS Office Suite
Spanish language knowledge preferredEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
