Senior PHP Developer @ onsite Whippany, NJ. This is a contract to hire role. What you'll be doing? We are looking for a talented PHP Developer to join our development team. The PHP Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining web applications and services using PHP, Postgres, and AWS technologies. The successful candidate will have a strong background in PHP development, database management, and cloud computing. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 8 to 10 years experience as a PHP Developer, with a strong portfolio showcasing PHP-based web applications. Proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AJAX. Experience with database management systems (Postgres, MySQL) and writing optimized SQL queries. Familiarity with AWS services for web application deployment and management. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git, is a plus. Responsibilities :
Design, develop, and maintain dynamic web applications and services using PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Ensure the responsiveness and scalability of applications across various platforms. Integrate PHP applications with databases (Postgres, MySQL, etc.) for data storage, retrieval, and manipulation. Write efficient SQL queries, optimize database performance, and ensure data integrity. Utilize AWS services for deploying, managing, and scaling web applications. Familiarity with AWS Lambda, EC2, S3, and RDS is a plus. Create robust and efficient APIs to connect front-end interfaces with back-end systems. Ensure seamless data exchange between web applications and external services. Optimize PHP code for performance and efficiency. Identify and resolve bottlenecks and bugs to ensure the smooth functioning of applications. Perform routine maintenance tasks, troubleshoot issues, and provide technical support for PHP applications. Monitor system performance, security, and backups. Maintain comprehensive documentation of application development processes, database schemas, configurations, and AWS setups. Ensure that documentation is accurate and accessible to relevant team members. Work closely with UI/UX designers, front-end developers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality web applications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals. Conduct thorough testing and debugging of PHP applications. Address issues and bugs promptly to deliver error-free software.
