The overall purpose of your position is to assist in the daily meal service in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, within facility established policies and procedures, and as may be directed by the Dining Services Director or Dining Room Manager, to assure that quality of service is provided at all times to our seniors.
Responsibilities:
Ensure that meals are served in accordance with residents specific requests or your supervisor's pre-approved resident's requests Reports and confers with the Dining Room Manager or Chef regarding status of residents, families and staff as related to dietary issues Maintain a clean kitchen and storage areas; Maintain work area in a safe, sanitized and orderly fashion.
Qualifications:
Based upon the Mission, Vision,and Values of Lester Senior Living, the following abilities are required to successfully accomplish the essential duties of this position 1 year of Assisted Living and/or working with the elderly experience.
Possess the ability to make independent decisions as needed.
Experience in the serving of food in an institutional or retail setting.
Additional relevant experience can substitute for education.
Ability to speak and understand Basic English.
Food Handler Certification preferred but not required.
Ability to understand and follow instruction(s) Professional attitude and appearance; Ability to get to and from workplaces.
Ability to maintain and ensure resident safety and quality of care.
